HOW TO USE THE SWIM VEST SAFETY AND SUCCESSFULLY

Follow the six steps for safe and successful use of the swim vest:

1. Securely fit the swim vest on the user child:

a. Unzip the zipper on the front of the swim vest, unlock buckles of safety belt.

For other types only with zipper or safety belt, do it according to the different design.

b. Assist the child to the insert arms through the arm holes.

c. Pull up the zipper and securely fasten the smaller secondary Velcro tab first and then the main Velcro tab over the top of the pull zip. If with safety belt, adjust the safety belt and lock the buckles

2. Allow the child to enter the water, holding their hand as they do so.

3. Establish buoyancy with the water level across the shoulders the child should be in control of the buoyancy. DO NOT GO OF YOUR CHILD UNTIL CAPABLE OF ConTROLLING THE

BUOYANCY.

4. Encourage the child to kick in the water and to firstly move one arm then the other. This process should not be rushed. Some children will gain confidence quickly whilst others will require several lessons before they can move independently. REMEMBER YOU CAN NOT REMAIN STILL IN THE WATER WITH A SWIM VEST. MOVEMENT OF THE ARMS AND LEGS IN NECESSARY.

5. To remove your swim vest:

a. Release the Velcro tab and unzip the zipper, unlock the buckles.

b. Assist the child to remove their arms through the arm holes.

c. Follow care instructions after use of garment.

6. once the child is independent and confident wearing the swim vest start removing the floats evenly across the front and back. This will gradually allow the child to swim on their own. Again do not rush this process---swimming should be fun and stress free.

7, Check product regularly for tear or wear. Run a thorough visual check on seams if there is any broken stitch. Check foam is complete without wear by pressing and feeling by hands. Replace product immediately if there is any sign of tear or wear.

HOW TO FIT THE SWIMMING VEST

1, Ensure that the swim vest is a good fit both to the wearer’s body and is within correct weight bands shown opposite, on the packaging and on the vest. This will ensure maximum floatation.

2, In particular for younger children it is important that their bands at least until they have become used to the buoyancy provided by the swim vest.

3, The swim vest is designed to aid learning to swim outside of formal swimming lessons. Encourage the wearer to move their arms and legs to build their confidence in the water as quickly as possible.

4, The swim vest is not a life jacket and will not eliminate the potential dangers of water play. It cannot replace proper adult supervision but can help children learn to swim.
